Subject: Respectful Request for the Designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ecuador as a Measure of National Security and Humanitarian Protection

Dear President Trump,

I extend my respectful and cordial greetings to you. I write with profound admiration for your strong and visionary leadership, which has been instrumental in restoring the sovereignty and order of the United States. As Pro Bono Paralegal Coordinator at Sacred Heart Immigration Law, specializing in country conditions, humanitarian protection, and national security, and as the mother of a U.S. citizen, I share your vision that the security and prosperity of our nation must remain absolute priorities.

With great respect and responsibility, I humbly submit this request for your consideration regarding the designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ecuador. This measure would not only address a legitimate humanitarian crisis but would also represent a strategic decision to strengthen the national security of the United States and reinforce the stability of a key ally in the region.

Ecuador and the United States: Partners in the Defense of Freedom and Global Security.

Ecuador has historically been a peaceful and value-driven nation, a steadfast ally of the United States, with a hardworking population of faith and deep respect for the Rule of Law. However, the betrayal committed by narco-dictator Rafael Correa, in collusion with the Chavista regime and transnational criminal networks, has plunged the country into an unprecedented security crisis.

Thanks to God, President Daniel Noboa has courageously undertaken the restoration of Ecuador, fighting against more than 22 narcoterrorist organizations that have declared war on the state. However, this battle has triggered a humanitarian crisis, forcing thousands of Ecuadorians to flee with no safe prospect of returning without facing extreme danger.

President Noboa’s efforts have been decisive and strategic, including the reintegration of a U.S. military base in the Galápagos Islands, a brilliant geopolitical move that:

- Strengthens the fight against drug trafficking, which directly impacts the fentanyl crisis in the United States.  - Allows the U.S. to regain control of a strategic position without exposing its troops to organized crime within the continent.

 - Reaffirms Ecuador as a key ally in hemispheric security and regional stability.

Despite these advances, Ecuador continues to face an internal armed conflict, and the 2025 elections pose a heightened risk of destabilization, as the same forces that led to the country’s collapse seek to regain power.

In this context, TPS designation would allow eligible Ecuadorians, those of impeccable moral character, without criminal records, and with a proven history of employment and tax contributions in the U.S. to remain in the country temporarily and in an orderly manner, without burdening the state or compromising national security.

TPS: A Strategic Decision for Security and Orderly Immigration.

It is essential to emphasize that TPS is not an amnesty but rather a controlled and temporary solution that:

- Provides stability to a community already present in the U.S., preventing criminal groups from exploiting the crisis to infiltrate the border.

 - Strengthens national security by allowing Ecuadorians in the U.S. to contribute legally and be part of the formal system.

- Does not grant automatic residency or citizenship, and its continuation depends on the evolving situation in Ecuador.

Additionally, it is crucial to highlight that TPS is an executive order that requires only the directive of the President to take effect, allowing for a swift and effective implementation in response to urgent circumstances.

Respectful Request for the Consideration of TPS for Ecuador.

If God has allowed you to once again lead the United States, I trust that your leadership will continue to guide our nation toward restoring order and security. With the utmost respect, I wish to bring to your attention the difficult situation that Ecuador is facing and humbly request that you consider the designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible Ecuadorians in the United States.

The Ecuadorians who have lived in this country for years are, in their great majority, hardworking individuals, with strong values, committed to their communities, and profoundly grateful to this nation. This request is not on behalf of those who have disrespected the law, but rather for those who, through their effort and impeccable conduct, have demonstrated their desire to continue contributing to the country until Ecuador fully recovers.

Under your leadership, the United States has returned to a path of respect for the Rule of Law and an immigration policy that is orderly and based on national security. Therefore, with all due respect, I submit this petition in the hope that these facts will be taken into consideration and that this measure will be evaluated within the framework of your administration.

I deeply appreciate your time and the opportunity to present this request. May God bless you, your family, and the United States of America.

Sincerely,

Soledad Andrade Puig
