Official Disclaimer

Soledad Andrade Puig

I serve as an in-house lobbyist and senior paralegal at Sacred Heart Immigration Law, where I engage in pro bono lobbying efforts exclusively through LinkedIn on issues related to national security, human and migrant rights, and the return of a U.S. military base to Ecuador.

I am committed to ensuring full transparency regarding my advocacy, political involvement, and compliance with U.S. laws.

1. My Role as an In-House Lobbyist & Non-Financial Advocacy

  • I conduct all my lobbying activities independently, voluntarily, and without financial compensation.

  • I do not raise, solicit, or manage campaign funds, nor do I engage in financial lobbying that would require registration under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA).

  • My interactions with policymakers occur exclusively in a digital advocacy capacity on LinkedIn. I do not participate in direct congressional meetings, formal government lobbying, or financial transactions related to lobbying.

2. My Political Involvement & Pro Bono Work

  • Throughout my life, I have participated in political campaigns exclusively in a pro bono capacity, never receiving financial compensation or holding official campaign positions.

  • In Ecuador, I was involved in my father’s campaign, who ran alongside former Mayor of Manta, Agustín Intriago (RIP). To support this effort, I traveled to Ecuador and actively contributed as a volunteer.

  • In the United States, I previously supported President Donald Trump as a private U.S. Resident, without holding any official role in his campaign.

  • I currently support Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in a personal capacity, without any official or financial involvement in his administration or campaign.

  • I have never engaged in fundraising, managed campaign finances, or accepted financial compensation for any political work.

3. My Work at Sacred Heart Immigration Law

  • My in-house lobbying focuses on policy advocacy and is completely separate from my work as a paralegal.

  • My lobbying efforts are independent and do not represent the official stance of Sacred Heart Immigration Law on political or legislative matters.

  • My employer is not financially responsible for my lobbying work, which I conduct on a pro bono basis.

4. Compliance with U.S. Lobbying and Ethics Laws

I adhere to all U.S. lobbying and ethics laws, ensuring full compliance with the following regulations:

A. Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA)

  • The LDA requires registration if a person spends at least 20% of their time lobbying Congress or federal officials.

  • Since my work is pro bono, exclusively digital (LinkedIn), and does not involve direct meetings with lawmakers, I do not meet the criteria for mandatory registration.

  • However, I remain committed to full transparency and ethical advocacy.

B. Federal Election Commission (FEC) Regulations

  • The FEC regulates campaign finance laws and prohibits improper coordination between lobbyists and political campaigns.

  • I do not engage in fundraising, political donations, or financial lobbying, ensuring full compliance with these regulations.

C. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)

  • FARA requires registration for individuals lobbying on behalf of foreign governments or entities.

  • My advocacy for Ecuador is conducted as a U.S. resident acting independently and is not directed, sponsored, or financially supported by any foreign government.

  • Therefore, FARA registration does not apply to my activities.

D. State and Local Lobbying Laws

  • Since my lobbying efforts focus exclusively on federal policy and are conducted digitally, I do not engage in any activities that would require state-level lobbying registration.

5. Ethical Considerations & Transparency

  • I maintain strict ethical standards to ensure that my lobbying and advocacy efforts remain independent and transparent.

  • I am not a lawyer and do not provide legal representation in any capacity. My work as a paralegal and lobbyist is limited to policy advocacy and immigration support under the supervision of licensed attorneys.

  • Any statements I make in my advocacy reflect my personal views and should not be interpreted as legal, financial, or lobbying advice.

This document serves as an official declaration of transparency, non-conflict, and compliance regarding my independent lobbying and pro bono political involvement.
